The headgear has come off!

Hi everyone

Yes the bandage has come off to reveal the new trapdoor hairstyle. Sara is very proud of her new style and took it out to the Avon River and then to Medici Cafe this afternoon - there was no one else with a similar style - definitely very unique! Sara has had a bit of an up and down day but we have just left her in the expert hands of my sister for a massage and Kate is going to sleepover with her tonite so there might be a few midnite feasts! She had a late afternoon kip and was looking a lot better for it when we returned from our evening meal - cuz Lisa took care of her in our absence.

As she is still getting very tired and finds lots of people visiting very tiring she will not be able to have visitors tomorrow other than family. But please keep the messages coming and hopefully later in the week she will feel more able to cope with a few visitors.

Enjoy the photos.......as they say a picture tells a thousand words.

Many thanks for all the support -it has given us great strength and comfort over the last few days.

Rob, Sue Kate and Sara

Hello to the WONDERFUL whanau
Lovely to see Sara's smile. Do you have to provide your own midnight feasts? Sleep easy, sweet sisters.
Much love

Dear Sara & Kate, Rob and Sue
Just got the scary news via an email from Trish in Canada (thanks Trish). Lots of good wishes and prayers for your complete recovery Sara. Keep up the great attitude (and that gorgeous cheeky grin).
I know you haven't heard from me in ages, but I'm still thinking of you all and love getting your news. When you were sailing I was biking on D'Urville Island. Now I'm back at work in Auckland. Richard A. is on his way back from England where he has been for the last month with his new lady Ruth. I sent him a text message with this URL. Kia kaha. Love to you all. Alicia

That smile would look stunning under any hairdo! And hey, it's almost a revival of my wedding day look - a Jewish-style skullcap -the very height of fashion back in '78, and it looks even more stylie in 2006!

(Bags I be the one to get you a Crusaders beanie!)

Pleased to hear you are growing stronger each day, with the help of your fantastic family. It's hard to believe it's only day three after the op....
Hope to catch up with you this weekend, shall we sneak you in a Row Shoppe pie??

Love from the Macs

Hey hey what’s cracking with the Spinksta ??

I wouldn’t normally lower my self to writing on a blog, purely because I'm not geeky or anything (hey the employment-impaired cant be geeky can they?), so just consider this as my one nice thing for the day. Pardon the fact if this doesn’t quite make sense as I’m writing at 00.15am 'cause I can’t sleep lol. Saw the pictures of you in the wheel chair, so we've just been considering getting you a 250cc motor for the wheel chair so you can REALLY go rally driving down by the river, do a few burn outs and the odd drive by. Hell we'll even throw in some brakes if the need arises :P

Figure I better start using paragraphs just in case Mr Grant reads this, or else he'll start sending me English lessons through txts. So are you even listening to any music atm?? (At The Moment for those with the txt dictionary *cough* Rob and Sue *cough*) I'm sure the nurses (or the crazy guy next door Rob told me of) might not exactly appreciate Pink blasting from your room, but hey who cares, just means they might send you home early ;P

Have to admit though looking at your blog (being set up on the 10th) its amazing what can happen in just over a week, and its great to see how quickly you’ve gotten better considering what you’ve been through. Keep up the good work, at this rate you’ll be getting a Excellence in positive attitude and Healing ability (Not to mention a scholarship as a hair model ;P).

Anyway that’s enough from me,

So remember:

“Every small flower stands strong surrounded by others so that it too may grow taller and more beautiful”

Keep it real and stay safe

Alan Smellin' (Good)

P.S. a Spinksta is a Cripsta wearing pink :P

Hi Sara,
your photos are great, good to see you looking so bright and cheery, almost your usual self in fact.
You will be pleased that we caught up with Ryan from Blenheim at the lake on Sunday, he was shocked to hear the news about your op.
I told him I might be seeing you soon and asked him if he had a message for you and he said " Just tell her to get her s..t together" charming eh'
Look forward to seeing you next weekend if you are up to it.
Cheers from the Coach
