Photo time!
Hi everyone
Just loaded a few more photos from the weekend. Will post a few words tomorrow - time to head home and pick up Sara and Sue from CHOC where Sara has been getting a blood transfusion. She is going OK but very tired after a long day which started at 8.30am this morning. Catch you later.
Rob, Sara and Sue.

The rowing jersey was a long time coming, but here at last, and you have earned it! (I think I heard a distinct and protracted Sara-type screaming and yelling coming from the Redcliffs area, would that be about the time you found the jersey??) Looks good, babe!
And so does the Crusader gear...did you really get that close to R-R-R-Rueben...oh be still, my beating heart...!! (hey try for Dan the Man next time, and tell him you know this mature but enthusiastic lady...on second thoughts, just ask for his dad's phone number!!)
Wayne(I guess he'll do!)has just arrived home from rowing training, then a rowing club meeting - I'm a rowing widow these days, but gives me a good chance to get on TradeMe and shop til I drop, and what's more I can blame it all on him!
Right, well Him Outdoors wants to look at your oarsome pics, so better wind this up. I'm off to the dentist tomorrow but only to Geraldine, not Christchurch, so still no chance to catch up, however will get Clare to deliver big hugs and buckets of love to all of you from us two.
XXXXXXX
Sara,
Love the photos, although I don't really get all this mania about a rugby team, especially a Canterbury rugby team (take note Val). Dean, the rugby fan in our house organised us ex-Otago people a blue and gold mailbox of course. I'm just home from a creche meeting, ERO are coming back soon to tell the wonderful staff what a wonderful job they are doing. Us parents tell them that all the time of course! Mark said Clare is up your way tomorrow for some art stuff, I am sure you will enjoy that. It's very cold outside here tonight, summer has gone I think, in the high country anyway. Keep up those lovely smiles. From Sandy and that bunch of noisy redheads (well Dean is not noisy but the others are!).
Hi Sara, Sue and Rob,
It was wonderful to be able to spend some tine with you all on Monday evening. Thank you so much.
Sara it was so super to see your wonderful smile in person and to be able to give you a hug.
Enjoyed seeing you photos (hehehe all ... I had a preview of the photos posted tonight ...) and the other treasures that you have been given by family and friends. The orchid looks great. Saw my florist today and was able to tell her about the pleasure you are getting from it. (have picked up some longer term care instructions for you as discussed during my visit, however will email those to Sue when I get a chance.)
Take care all of you. Thoughts from Wellington sure with you all.
Lots of love
Peter
P/S.
Sandy - of course you couldn't be expected to understand rugby mania if you are ex-Otago! It's only here in the Heartland where things get really passionate....but that's OK, Noah is our latest recruit, and I'm sure we'll get you guys eventually! And hey, those letterboxes haven't got adequate snow loading - they'll collapse, just like the Otago scrum!!
Hi Sara, Sue , Rob and Kate (away over yonder),
Great photos and all the action!! Looks as though you were really rugged up for the rugby. Glad you got to go this time. Love the face paint - even though it is the wrong colours - as we are still supporters of the Highlanders!! Dare I say that name on this site as there seem to be so many Crusaders fans around.
Love the mohawk too - very punk looking - got the safety pins and holey stockings and black clothes to match? Somehow I couldnt see that Sara.
The weather is definitely autumn and we are getting some very cool blasts - not very warm for our 2nd to last athletic night tonight. I am sick of cold and/or wet Wednesday nights!!
Vict is going to Aoraki but cant go to Waimate as her age group is not in for that. Bit silly really!! Andrew didnt bother going to the meeting which was a bit naughty - not into the running etc as much this year, and even though James did well he didnt get picked.
Love the jersey with your name and number - very cool and a one-off I'm sure.
Ben also went in the Pass to Pub and was very tired after it - has never gone in anything that long before. His workplace organise it. Great day as usual.
Must sign off. Time for bed. Love to Sue and Rob and hugs to you Sara. Keep strong and enjoy your rest times.
Cynthia, Victoria, Mike, Ben, Andrew and James.
Hi Young family,
I love seeing all your photos. This last lot a great. I'm glad to see you getting out and about Sara. You are looking good. I guess your weather will be getting colder now too. We are still getting warm weather here in Melbourne but the nights are cooler. There is a noticeable difference though.
It's funny that your rugby team colours are red and black because the AFL footy team that we follow here, the Bombers is black and red too. We are hoping that our team will be a bit more successful this year. It's fun going to the games. We LOVE footy season.
I am taking the kids to see the netball at the Commonwealth Games. They are really looking forward to that. It is going to be very chaotic here shortly. They started closing off roads today so the traffic is going to be horrendous. Oh well it is only for 2 weeks.
Sorry I haven't emailed you for a bit but I was in hospital last week for an operation but I am feeling heaps better now.
Must go off to bed. Take care all. You are all in my thoughts.
Love Susan xx

Sara you look great in all the pics, like the look of the blue hat on you enjoy it. Just had word from Jake in Waimate he got first in the 3000m under 16 and third out of the under 19s, not sure how everyone else did yet. I am getting the first of my new hips on the 24 Mar, i am very excited about this as they are both goig to be done in the space of 3 months and then I will be able to do everything I want to do again including bball, netball and jogging. Great eh? Of course I will be out of action for awhile but thats ok. Taylor broke his foot on Tuesday, somebody kicked him in it at school(think it was jaimie but not sure that could be a milicious rumor I think it was granty) anyway he is in a walking boot cos he cant have crutches cos his wrist is still stuffed... wot a worry. I think everyone else is in good health. Poor little Noah has been seconded into the crusaders team already by Val, he is a very cute baby and his english is already very good. Hope this finds you ok and i am sending loads of love and hugs to u all. Love Jacqui & Jake
Go the Otago supporters! Our beautiful Otago mailbox will be just fine Val! Where are you Bob? Are you going to let all these Canterbury supporters away with it? And babies are not true recruits! So there! Sandy.
Hi there Otago Losers
Yes Babies are true recruits - we had 2 of them and then one of them decided to go with the blue and yellow brigade for a while (when she became an independent thinker)and then she saw the error of her ways and has come back to be a supporter of the winning team (eh Katie).
By the way Val, Sara got so close to getting Dan boys signature it was probably just as well you werent there - watch this space!
The Crusader Supporters Club
Hi Sara,
It's been a while but have been thinking of you and keeping up with your blogs. I just love the paint job - very nice, but hey, don't worry that you're sporting the wrong colours.
We are off to the old home town this weekend (Dunedin of course, if you hadn't guessed) to soak up the blue and gold (blue sky and golden sun)....that's how we got our name!
looking forward to a walk along St Clair beach and taking a trip back down memory lane.
Have yourself a good weekend up there in red and black country....keep smiling and take care. Thinking of you, Heather McO
PS....just in case you haven't caught up with the latest....OHAU we enjoyed winning the athletics on Wed - even without our star player (the injured Jake).
There are only 2 kinds of people in NZ. The first kind support Otago and the other kind wish they did!!!!!!
hey! sorry i havent written you a blog for agers! but we had athletics on wednesday and then yesterday i went to waimate for the country high schools or whatever it's called. man keiran fowler is soooooo good! he jumped 1.98m for the high jump! we like all sat around and watched him and everytime he was about to jump everyone was dead quiet aye. it was so funni... not really but yeah... we've started our dance for tournament... its real wicked aye. we just playen round at the mo tho but yeah... we gettin ther!
sweet bub well better go.
luv ya lots... xoxox
hey man!
You look almost as good in that top as i do! just kidding! like val said, i imagine there ws alot of yelling! I still can't walk form athletics the other day! i won almost everything that i went in though! but mostly cause the competion wasn't that great (ie being the only one in my age group in most things!) and managed to hold off willis in the 1500, imagine how shame that would be if he bet me! lol! And Ohau of course won! Ruataniwha coming in 2nd and pukaki last. Yeah i hardly need to point this out yet again, how many times has cantabury won the super 12? and how many times has otago won it? yeah i'll just let the results speak for themselves! I'm so jelous of you geting up close with the canty players!
Got south island champs theis w.e! argh, trying not think about maadi cause have a mini panic attack every time that i do! only 16 days to go! Were looking up the results of the last few maadi's and found some of our old times! 10:06 for our quad, yeeah! Weve got a day off today, my first day with out rowing for 4 weeks! Yay! i might start going though withdraw symtoms! hmmmm not much else to talk about really! hope your blood transfusion went ok. Rito tally ho!
lots of love!
caketin and zozo, skiving off in the computer room!
TOP SECRET
Dear Sara
This one is just for you and no-one else. It's secret, okay - are we allowed to know what Cheese's real name is and Shaz and whoever else though I have worked out Catekin. It just endlessly intrigues us!
Maybe it's a bit like Wal's dog whose name we never found out.
Haven't any of you heard of Nelson Bays? That's all right - nor have we much! But they do have this player called Kahu who comes around the schools teaching little ones which way to run with the ball.
We've got ERO coming too. Solidarity with the Twizel crew.
Zo about to go to work, Mart home from Blenheim and me from a busy week at school.
Love you
From Nelson Agents 108
And there is another species of Sara admirers still looking at cricket and thinking of Commonwealth Games - coz you can be involved in that from the couch!! Have a cool weekend Sara. They come around kind of fast when you are working as hard as you are!! Relax, and enjoy the view!!
Lots of love
